Summer 2020
Are you a high school senior looking for something incredible in your senior photo session?
Join me for a once-in-a-life time experience on the Big Island of Hawaii! We will be shooting at some of the most amazing and scenic locations on the entire planet. From early morning shoots at the volcano and surrounding jungle, to black sand beaches, to epicness at the top of Manuna Loa (14,000 feet), there is something for everyone who wants to have the most awesome photos ever!
The Plan
Day 1 - Arrive in the afternoon, sight see, shop, eat, and relax
Day 2 - Volcano, South Point, Kalapana
Day 3 - Relax (Mauna Loa Summit Tour)
Day 4 - Waipio Valley, Kona
Day 5 - Relax (Enjoy Hilo)
Day 6 - Depart Hilo for home or optional extension
Day 7 - Shoot in downtown Honolulu /Waikiki
Day 8 - relax (I'd recommend a circle island tour)
Day 9 - relax (I'd recommend visit Pearl Harbor and also shopping)
Day 10 - Head home after lunch (overnight flight)
The Extension
After Hilo, I plan to stay a few days in Honolulu to relax and do a little extra shooting. If you'd like to join me, you can! This will be more of an urban high fashion style shoot. But of course, since we're right on the beach, we can do some beach photos too if time permits.
Additional Details
- There are NO SESSION FEES to shoot with me on this trip.
- You are responsible for your travel expenses.
- Bring the outfits you need (You and I will review them prior to us leaving to make sure everything works together) with you unless you plan on shopping when you get there.
- You will need bright vibrant colors
- No patterns (or minimal patterns)
- Minimal jewelry
- After the trip we will get together where you will view and have an opportunity to order prints and digitals form the sessions.
Travel Information
You can fly any airline and stay wherever you want. This is my typical travel itinerary.
Grand Naniloa, Doubletree by Hilton
This is where I'll be staying for the Hilo Portion of the trip. It's right on Hilo Bay and provides great views of the city, mountains, and ocean.

Hale Koa, Waikiki
In Honolulu, I'll be staying at the Hale Koa' resort which is a military resort. I can reserve room for non-Gov personnel, I just need to know if you want to stay here.
American Airlines
I fly out of HSV around 6 AM and try to make it to LAX. If you can make it to California before changing planes, I find that best personally. It is a LONG flight and California is basically half way and provides a nice break. By leaving in the morning, you arrive in Hawaii around 3:00 PM Hawaii time and can enjoy the rest of the day.
